Estoy falto de reflejos; creo que necesito unas vacaciones. Me había pasado inadvertida una impresionante frase, un ZPensamiento de primerísima magnitud (también en "The Financial Times").

Empiezo a pensar que el mejor ZP es el escrito. Todavía recuerdo esa obra maestra que leyó en León, al recibir el premio al leonés del año (post del 05/05/05). Este articulo en FT es otro glorioso ejemplo.

Bueno, reconozco que la traducción hace el artículo más "funny", aunque el fondo gilipollesco y apologético sigue siendo igualmente espeluznante.

My goodness. This sounds like Democratic social gobbledygook. This isn’t a plan, it’s a pile of horse manure. Understanding terrorists isn’t going to solve anything. That’s just another rationalization for extra funding for a think tank study. That isn’t solving problems.

As for this quote "It’s unrealistic to aspire to peace & stability in a sea of universal injustice", let’s examine that. What are the most oppressive governments that sponsor most of the "universal injustice?" Aren't they Saddam’s Iraq & the mullahs’ Iran & Bashar Assad’s Syria? Aren’t those the very countries that you won’t support military action in? True relief from "universal injustice" is what’s being done in post-Saddam’s Iraq by writing a new constitution, complete with minority rights, women’s rights & a real judicial system to litigate these injustices. The sooner you learn this, the better of we’ll be.

This guy must be replaced with a real leader ASAP. He’s an idiot if he thinks that the U.N. needs "the means, including a legal framework & the operational tools, to lead the international fight against terrorism” will win the fight & the GWOT. They won’t. What the U.N. needs is an integrity transfusion & a spine to stand up to the tyrants & dictators of this world. Mr. Zapatera, you haven’t shown me anything to prove you’ve got a clue in how to combat terrorism.
